SOAKING UP SOAP & GLORY . . .

Finally, an end to a long and drawn-out journey. For years I have been seeking the much sought after "perfect" beauty product. The product that you couldn't live without, the product that makes you so loyal that you wouldn't dare even contemplating trying something new. Lucky for me in finding that one true beauty product I was introduce to a whole extraordinary line. Soap & Glory.

Never have I wanted to share a product line with all of you more then this particular brand. Not only is the packaging fun but there is also a timeless appeal. As most of you know I have a deep admiration for anything vintage and I was truthfully first drawn to Soap & Glory simply because I loved the 50's-esque styling of their line.

After using their products and looking further into the mission of the company I have become an advocate and dedicated customer of this brand. These products are made in the UK and are free of animal cruelty. Also, each product is accompanied with a really unique and catchy title which you will be able to explore more below.

The only place in Canada that I have been able to find and purchase Soap & Glory is at Shoppers Drug Mart. As well, I have only been able to try a select few products as the whole line is not offered at these stores. So far I have got both my mom, sister and roommate hooked on Soap & Glory; maybe you too?

Check out the Soap & Glory products I have tried thus far and what I think of them! Enjoy!

CATCH A WRINKLE IN TIME

Religiously after my morning scrub I apply a small amount of this day moisturizer to my face. You really do not need a lot to achieve that re-energizer, moistured look. I have tried a lot of face moisturizers that usually leave my face feeling oily and shiny. I have not encountered any issue with this moisturizer. Well, unless you can count softer and beautifuler looking skin.

THE GREATEST SCRUB OF ALL

This facial exfoliator was the first product I discovered of Soap & Glory. I have never used any other product that has cleansed and cleared-up my skin as well as this product. It is truly a miracle worker.

CLEAN, GIRLS

This is the only body wash that I have tried thus far of Soap & Glory. I really like it, the smell is very clean and the packaging is really fun. Also true to its description it leaves my skin feeling SO soft.

SEXY MOTHER PUCKER

One of my favorite inventions ever is lip plumpers. I don't think I could live without them, definitely a necessity in my make-up bag. This is the Extreme-Plump clear gloss by Soap & Glory. Using this product I truly notice my lips become fuller and well, plump. You can get this particular product in a number of different colours as well!

I hope you enjoyed looking over my favorite Soap & Glory products.
I would highly recommend trying out this line to anyone looking for quality products at a reasonable price!

UPDATE : BEDROOM DECOR.

Hey Everyone,

As most of you know, I am currently in my second year of college and have finally moved into my own apartment with two of the greatest roommates anyone could ask for. My living situation could truthfully not be any better..Well, with one exception. When we were first let this apartment there were a lot of things that needed to be changed. With time and a lot of trips to Value Village I feel my roommates and myself are finally beginning to love our apartment. Out of all the work that needed to be done, re-decorating my bedroom was of high priority. Picture this; lime green & turquoise colored walls, sticky tack stuck to all the walls & ceilings, missing tiles, and so much more. If I had the opportunity to sit down with the girl who used to live here and ask her why she did the things that she did; I would.

Anyways, after months and months of painting and re-decorating, I finally feel content with my room. I have added pictures to this blog before in regards to my bedroom. But, I finally feel like my bedroom is mine! If that makes any sense at all. So, I wanted to share with all of you what I consider the finished product.. Or as good as it's going to get because the flooring is atrocious. You gotta work with what you got.

Enjoy !

This took a lot of time and effort. But it is finally done.. I turned my two panel closet into a personal collage.

This was a fun project that myself and my sister did together. It's a great line from a great song my "The Shirelles". This project cost three dollars with all supplies bought at Dollarama. I hang it above my door for a little support on days that I am feeling, well for lake of a better word ... Blah.

Miniature shelf I picked up at Home Sense.

Bench I picked up at Winners. Love the vintage pattern and of course my favorite magazine Cosmopolitan.

Cozy Corner.

Marilyn and clothing rack.

Where hard work comes into play.

My spectacular view. Office Building.

Sons of Anarchy. <3

Love me some Barbra. And if you had an empty frame why wouldn't you put a picture of Tom Hardy within it?

Picked this up at Wal-Mart. Super cheap and I love this quote.

Truth.

At a glance.

I love these photo frames. Had to start my own mini collection.

Finally, my owl bookends from Green Earth. Adore these little guys.

Hope you enjoyed.

JANUARY FAVORITES !

Hey Everyone,

As you know it is a new year and along with the list of resolutions that I have made for this upcoming year, updating my blog more frequently was at the top. For anyone like myself who generally has a lot to say about anything blogging is a great outlet and I am going to start taking advantage of that.

I am constantly searching online for new ideas and tips of how to keep my blog fresh and relevant. Through my endless searching I found that a lot of blogs no matter what the theme, tend to do monthly favorites. I am always picking up little things here and there over the course of the month, some that I love and some that I hate. And so, I want to share these finds with all of you. As much as I hate to remind myself I am a poor college student... Therefore,  I am not always able to shop for the things that I want but I often find great alternatives. Perhaps some will interest you...

RIMMEL LIPSTICK

These are my four favorite colours of lipstick that Rimmel has out at the moment.
In order from left to right :
Lasting Finish Lipstick in CANDY (002), Lasting Finish By Kate Lipstick (08), Moisture Renew Lipstick CORAL QUEEN (620), & Lasting Finish Lipstick BORDEAUX (124).

I truly love Rimmel lipsticks they have an amazing colour selection and have relatively good stay. I find that the Lasting Finish line is very pigmented and stays true to its colour. This being said, it is a little heavy and I would recommend applying lip balm prior to use or glossing after applied. I really enjoy the Lasting Finish by Kate it has more moisture then the original so it doesn't dry out your lips as much and can be applied with greater ease. Finally, I adore the Moisture Renew line as I find it hydrates my lips and leaves a glossy look without that typical gloss "sticky" feeling. I would highly recommend the colour Coral Queen to anyone who is looking to experiment, I have a relatively lighter skin tone and I love the way it looks on my lips. So fun for summer.

KISS EYELASHES

I love false eyelashes and wear them almost everyday. I have experimented with a lot of different brands and styles, nothing impressing me more then KISS. They are very affordable, easy to apply and have a natural look. One of my favorite finds EVER.

CUREL HAND & CUTICLE THERAPY

I was lucky enough to be sent this particular product in a monthly Glossy Box. With the winter weather in full effect my hands have a tendency to get very dry. I have found no other cream that works faster then CUREL and the results are truly amazing. After just a week of use my hands are softer and brighter.

LES MISERABLES
BY
VICTOR HUGO

This next favorite is quite the commitment and I would not recommend it for anyone currently in school. I was completely absorbed by this book over the Christmas holidays but being back at school I haven't been able to recommit to it. For anyone who has a great appreciation for literature and culture I would recommend this book. I haven't finished it completely.. But, I am getting there.

OH, MARILYN

For those who know me personally you  know of my obsession with old Hollywood; James Dean in particular. But I could not pass up on the chance to purchase this amazing picture of Marilyn, there is a simplicity to it that I really adore.

SCARVES

The dangers of three for ten scarves my friends and these are only a few of my favorites. With the cold weather I want nothing more then to be cozy and warm all the time. Not only do scarves aid in this but they are also a great accessory. Scarves are something I have definitely taken advantage of in the month of January.

COCO DUFFEL DUPE

I have long been looking for a dupe of Alexander Wang's Coco Duffel Bag. Of course as a student I am not able to afford designer bags as much as I would like to think I could. So I am often searching for dupes of things such as this that I want. This is more of a purse opposed to a duffel but what I love best about both are the studs on the bottom. So cute!

NEW YEAR

Lastly, I wanted to share my New Years dress. It is flowy, sparkly, and fun. Everything that a New Years dress should be!

I hope you enjoyed my January favorites!
If you get the chance, check them out for yourself.
